Vanessa
Clinical Manager & Dental Assistant
Vanessa has been a member of our Garden Home team since 2014. Her desire is to help each patient answer any questions or concerns they may have regarding their dental needs. Vanessa has a wide variety of clinical skills and is EFDA certified. She utilizes these skills in the back and front office. You will see her up front more as clinical manager, In her spare time she enjoys family time with her husband and her son. She loves to travel to new places and spend her summers here in the great Northwest.
Jody
Front Office Manager
Jody joined our team in 2020. Originally planned on following in her fathers footsteps of becoming a dentist herself but decided to pursue a career in dental assisting. She also assisted her brother in becoming the team dentist for the Los Angeles Rams and then began managing the practice. In her free time you will find her playing tennis, pickleball or snowboarding but her all time favorite thing is being with sons, Mason who serves in the US Navy and Ethan who attends OSU.
Tonya
Hygienist
Tonya was born in the dairy community of Ferndale, California to the large animal vet and the town’s RN. After graduating high school she received her B.S. from Cal Poly , San Luis Obispo in Horticulture. She accepted a job In Germany and remained there for 5 years and then spent 2 years in Japan. After returning to the states she earned her associates degree in dental hygiene and has been practicing for 27 years. In her free time Tonya enjoys anything botanical: gardening, mushroom hunting and canoeing. Other interests include reading, the arts, foreign films and many of the fun activities put on by the Garden Home Library.
Rachel
Hygienist
Rachel has been a registered dental hygienist with Garden Home Dental since 2019. She graduated hygiene school in 2016 with honors and a passion for oral health. Her interest in dentistry started as a teen when a pediatric dentist who worked with special needs kids hired her as a sterilization technician. Her strong clinical background, thoroughness and gentleness make her an asset to our practice. She and her husband are native Oregonians and parents to three kids who are all active in sports. In her free time she enjoys hiking, camping, skiing and horseback riding.
Community Involvement
The entire Garden Home Dental team enjoys working with dentists in the Portland community and building relationships with service organizations that help people who need dental care. We have been privileged to work with Compassion Clinic, serving in the Tigard and Beaverton area.
