Aaron

Dr. Aaron Pogue, DMD

Dr. Aaron Pogue is a native Oregonian, growing up in Cannon Beach. He attended Trinity Western University in Vancouver Canada and completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Oregon Health Sciences University in 2012. Since then, Dr. Pogue has been practicing in the Portland area and has loved working and serving the Garden Home community. He believes in building strong relationships with patients while providing the highest quality of individualized care. He is committed to offering exceptional dentistry in a caring and comfortable environment.
Dr. Pogue is current with the newest technology and advances in the dental field including implant and cosmetic dentistry. He believes that every patient should truly love their smile!
Keeping very busy outside the office, Dr. Pogue has a growing family. His wife Emily is an elementary teacher in Beaverton School District and they have three active kids. When not working with patients, Dr. Pogue loves spending time with his family and enjoys cycling, hiking and all sports!

Vanessa

Clinical Manager & Dental Assistant

Vanessa has been a member of our Garden Home team since 2014. Her desire is to help each patient answer any questions or concerns they may have regarding their dental needs. Vanessa has a wide variety of clinical skills and is EFDA certified. She utilizes these skills in the back and front office. You will see her up front more as clinical manager, In her spare time she enjoys family time with her husband and her son. She loves to travel to new places and spend her summers here in the great Northwest.

Tonya

Hygienist

Tonya was born in the dairy community of Ferndale, California to the large animal vet and the town’s RN. After graduating high school she received her B.S. from Cal Poly , San Luis Obispo in Horticulture. She accepted a job In Germany and remained there for 5 years and then spent 2 years in Japan. After returning to the states she earned her associates degree in dental hygiene and has been practicing for 27 years. In her free time Tonya enjoys anything botanical: gardening, mushroom hunting and canoeing. Other interests include reading, the arts, foreign films and many of the fun activities put on by the Garden Home Library.

Rachel

Hygienist

Rachel is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated with honors from Mt Hood with a degree in Dental Hygiene of Applied Sciences. She is patient-focused, driven to provide a personable experience along with the highest quality of care possible. Rachel enjoys building relationships with her patients and educating them on the importance of their overall oral health. She has extensive experience and advanced training in local anesthesia, nitrous oxide and restorative functions. Rachel is excited to have a career that she loves and is grateful to be working with such an amazing team at Garden Home Dental.

Natalia

Dental Assistant

Natalia has been with Garden Home Dental since 2022. She has been a dental assistant for 20 years. Natalia grew up in Crimea. She likes to get to know her patients and make sure they feel as comfortable as possible during treatment and answer all the questions patients may have. In her spare time, she likes to read and spend time with her family and friends.

Kamalei

Dental Assistant

Kamalei has been with Garden Home Dental since June 2024. She has always had an interest in the dental field since she was young. Kamalei grew up in Hawaii and moved to Oregon during high school. She enjoys playing golf and softball in her free time, while also spending time with her friends and boyfriend outside of work.

Merissa

Clinical Manager

Dental Assistant

Merissa began her dental career as a clinical chairside assistant for 18 years. She joined Garden Home Dental in 2021 transitioning full time to administrative where she is able to use her clinical knowledge to help patients understand their treatment plans. She has a passion for helping patients in any way possible to ensure they are well informed and comfortable with their dental experience. She enjoys being outdoors hiking, camping and paddle boarding with her daughter and husband or relaxing with a good book.

Community Involvement

The entire Garden Home Dental team enjoys working with dentists in the Portland community and building relationships with service organizations that help people who need dental care. We have been privileged to work with Compassion Clinic, serving in the Tigard and Beaverton area.
